This was my first experience with a Volkswagen dealership, and it was my least pleasant dealership experience. While I had scheduled the appointment in advance, and the sales rep called me the morning of the appointment to confirm, the onsite experience was not great. John did not seem to understand my background with the car I was comparing to the Volkswagen. The feature I cared most about, heated steering, was not an option on the car on the lot, and it told me that I should not care about it. He did not offer to try to get the model I mentioned, which is available at another dealership. He continued to act surprised when I asked about standard features on some other makes I own or was looking at during the process. The final headache was chasing everyone down about giving the title for my trade-in and down payment. Once I arrived home, I noticed they had not collected the title for my trade-in, which resulted in me making another trip to the dealership. While the other people with whom I interacted were pleasant, I felt like the sales rep was rude, and I had to keep asking about giving them my down payment. I wish there had been more transparency on the pricing so that I could have excluded some of the included items. While I was drawn to the model because of the financing deal, it was not my experience with other manufacturers and dealerships. This was my second choice, and it won due to the financing deal.

Didn’t have the best experience. The person assisting me seemed unaware of the service package I had purchased and was indifferent most of the time. When I asked about the package’s expiration, he first said he was busy, then later told me that, due to new ownership, they couldn’t explain it to me. I’ll be trying a different VW location next time.
